01 — About Rue

A creative shaped by screens, stages, and stubbornness.

Stories have always been at the centre of my life. As a child, I spent countless hours watching films and television, then turning my bedroom into a stage where I could perform the stories I had just watched.

Growing up, acting wasn't a conventional path, but I took every opportunity I could to perform — from school performances to the drama club at King Abdulaziz University.

I first studied Marketing before being awarded a Cultural Scholarship from the Saudi Ministry of Culture to study Drama and Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London. Those years allowed me to explore storytelling from every angle — working across theatre and film as an actor, producer, theatre director, and later as a 1st Assistant Director in Saudi Arabia.

Today, I continue to work across performance and production, driven by the same curiosity that first led me to step onto an imaginary stage in my childhood bedroom. I believe the best stories are built through collaboration, and I'm always looking for new ways to help bring them to life.
